Fly to Ercan (the only airport in Northern Cyprus). Flight takes about 4½ hours plus a 45 minute touch down in Turkey. The journey from Ercan to our villa is about 40 minutes. You can request the car hire firm to collect you from the airport (particularly nice if you land after dark) and take you to the villa, this would cost £20. They would then deliver a car to you for your use. Fly to Larnaca in the South, approximately 4 ½ hours direct. Car hire companies in the north will collect you from the airport for around £30-40 and leave a hire car with you. Try Olympic Holidays, British Airways (www.ba.com) and Cyprus Airways for flights.

Turkish lira is the local currency and this can easily be obtained in exchange for GB sterling cash at the many change bureaux in Kyrenia. Most shops and restaurants are happy to accept GB sterling. There are Visa machines in Kyrenia. Credit cards are not so widely accepted and travellers cheques can be problematic.
